William holds a number of directorships and trusteeships, including that of management & advisory group OSG, which he founded in 1987. OSG initially specialised in developing commercial businesses and not-for-profit organisations in frontier, emerging and post-conflict environments, but now also operates in developed economies. OSG has created and assisted companies and charities operating in over fifty countries in Africa, Asia, Europe/CIS, Latin America/Caribbean, Middle East, UK and USA. OSG first established a presence in Myanmar in 1995 and currently provides MABA’s Secretariat in the UK. William lived in Yangon for several years.
Caroline San Kyi

Caroline is an Economics graduate from the London School of Economics. She is currently living in Yangon and managing her family business, which has been in the gold and jewellery industry for more than 30 years.
Cho Cho Toe (ချိုချိုတိုး)

Cho Cho is the founder and managing partner of Cho Cho Toe & Associates, which has been providing auditing and non-auditing services to the public and private sectors since 1995. Since attaining Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Myanmar Accountancy Council, Cho Cho has interacted and worked with many different British investors, assisting with a variety of investment projects. She is also passionate about helping people in Myanmar through her various volunteer work. Cho Cho is a Board Member of the MICPA (Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountant) and an Executive Committee Member of the Commerce Graduates Association.
Genette Dagtoglou

Genette read law at Oxford and was awarded a scholarship to study legal history at Heidelberg University. She returned to Oxford to study for the Bar and was accepted by the Treasury Solicitor’s Department to work in the European Division. Genette remained in the government legal service until 1989, when she took early retirement to start the private project, Givebooks International, transmitting thousands of children’s books to developing countries, including Myanmar. Genette also helped to underpin the major health initiative in western Myanmar, Health & Hope.
Suren Verma

Suren, Director of ABE Myanmar, is an academic business development professional with fifteen years of experience, have set up & serve for private higher education in Asian countries, and hold a Masters of Science (Hybrid of MBA & IT) from Staffordshire University. His experience as an academic business developer includes seven years of developing five different business institutes in three different countries.

Alex Bescoby is a filmmaker, historian and author, and Co-Founder of Grammar Productions, which he founded in 2016. He studied modern Burmese history at Cambridge University and began working in Myanmar in 2013 with the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business. His award-winning films for Channel 4, BBC and History Channel explore history, identity and connection across Asia, Africa and Europe – but his filmmaking in Myanmar will always be his first love. Alex continues to advise organisations on operating in fragile and post-conflict markets, drawing on over a decade of experience working in and on Myanmar.

Suki is Managing Director of Myanmar Hotels International and Vice President Operations for GCP Hospitality, managing the Strand Hotel, Inya Lake Hotel, Hotel G Yangon and the luxury cruise ship Strand Cruise, along with various hospitality and real estate related projects. Suki has previously worked with GHM, Intercontinental, Marriott, Scandic Hotels, New World, Renaissance and Dusit International, after graduating in Economics from the University of Delhi and in Hotel Management from Vienna, Austria. Suki has lived in Myanmar since 1991.

Ivan is the founder of Pun + Projects, a firm focussed on creating innovative lifestyle and cultural projects in Yangon. Born in Hong Kong, Ivan was raised between Hong Kong, Yangon and the UK, where he was educated at Cranleigh School and Hertford College, University of Oxford. After working in New York and Beijing in his early 20s, Ivan relocated to Yangon in 2011. Ivan is a passionate supporter of the Arts through his local non-profit initiative TS1 and he sits on the Boards of both New York-based PERFORMA and The Hong Kong Design Trust
